Dominik Fleischmann

I am a visual artist and photographer with a strong attachment to contemporary issues of art and environment regarding the unity of humans and nature and the struggle and misunderstanding guarding this way.

My previous projects intersected moral philosophy, creative writing and visual practices. In my artistic practice I combine an approach of documentary photography, natural image processes, multi-material installations and a lyrical narrative. My practice seeks to find ethical ways of interacting with nature that inform ecological and alternative ways of exhibiting art

My artistic work has been kindly supported in recent years by The Finnish Art Society, Olga and Vilho Linnamo Foundation, Urban APA, Paulon Säätiö, Arts Promotion Centre Finland (Taike) and VG Bildkunst KULTURWERK. My upcoming artistic research on multi-species entanglement, photography and decay is funded by the the KONE Foundation.
